Nominations – Australian Under 25 Team, World Championships, NZ 2019

Nominations – Australian U25 Rifle Team, U25 World Championships, NZ 2019

I would like to thank the NRAA for appointing me captain of the Australian U25 Team that will compete at the U25 World Championships in Trentham, New Zealand in 2019. (25th of January to 10th of February).

Since many Under 25 shooters are unsure about their futures (and can also improve rapidly within the next 2 years) I believe an Australian U25 High Performance Squad is a great way to get new younger shooters involved with high level team shooting and increase competition in our team before making a final team selection from this pool closer to January 2019.

Therefore, I wish to invite nominations for both the positions of shooters and coaches into this Australian U25 High Performance Squad.

The final U25 World Championships Team will consist of a maximum of 8 members, consisting of 1 Captain, 5 Shooters, 1 Reserve and 1 Coach.  An accredited Manager over the age qualifications may be in attendance, provided they do not advise or assist on the firing point.

Eligibility – A competitor will be deemed to qualify if his/her 25th birthday falls after the day of the World Championships Team Match (3rd of February 2019).

The Australian U25 manager will be John Maguire.  John is currently the NSWRA Junior and U25 Development Manager and does a lot for the development and growth of U25 shooters throughout NSW and knows a lot about how young shooters are progressing.  I think his commitment to U25 development will help me put together a strong and ready team for 2019.

Nominations are to be sent to the NRAA at or P.O Box 414, Carina, QLD 4152.

Nominations will close Friday 23 June, 2017.

If you have any questions, please contact myself or John Maguire.
