The Australian team has had an extremely successful tour to Camp Perry USA. A small contingence of the Open and Veterans Teams toured to Port Clinton Ohio to compete in the 2014 Fullbore National Championships in preparations for the World Championships being held in 2015 from the 3rd to 14th August.
The Commodore Perry Teams Match was the first to be competed with Australia entering the Open and Veterans 4 man team matches. The Australian Palma team finished on top with a score of 891.111 ahead of USA Rifle team Green on 882.85.
The Australian Vets also finished with gold to take the win one point ahead on 879.83 from Great Britain on 878.78.
This was a fantastic start for both teams. Australia then continued to dominate in the Individuals with Ben Emms winning the USA Fullbore National Championships gold medal and fellow team mate Tim Berry Finishing in the bronze medal position.
The final teams match was the Mini Palma with Australia once again entering the 4 man teams matches in both the Open and Veterans. The Open team had an outstanding score of 895.116 winning the gold medal a clear 6 points ahead of the rest. The Australian Veterans stayed strong finishing in the third place position with the home team USA winning gold.
